Last night Eric, Nicole, and I got in some quality time with Earl before he moves to New York to become "the man" at his ridiculously slave-ish law firm job. In the last month or so we've watched The Godfather and Godfather 2; with only a few days left with Earl in town, Eric and Nicole decided we had to finish off the trilogy. I'm not sure where the idea came from specifically, but Eric decided we should have an Italian meal, and that it needed to include garlic bread. When the store didn't have any of the frozen kind, my neophyte chef of a fiance took it upon himself to make the garlic bread. It isn't hard, but it did require a second trip to the store and a little perseverance. I have no pictures of the deliciousness that ensued, but suffice to say, he did an AWESOME job. It was so good! Dangerously good, if I do say so myself.
And Eric wasn't the only one stretching his legs in the kitchen -- Nicole made pasta for us. She may have needed a little supervision and guidance, but it came out perfectly -- we even got it to stick to the wall! And Earl graced us with some super-yummy cupcakes from the ever-popular Finale.
Why the heck haven't we done this more often? Nicole lives across the street from us!
